2010 Challenge Quilt - Windows into the World
A table runner, sets of 2,3,or 4 placemats, or a small wall hanging are encouraged for this first contest. These items should have broad appeal to purchasers for use in their homes. Wall hangings should include a sleeve for hanging on the back. We will display these items as a group at the sale until we start taking down for the second round of quilts at the auction. Drop-off locations for quilts/comforters/wall-hangings, etc. bound for MCC Fall Festival:
- Miriam Showalter: Weds, 9/15 from 11am to noon at Salem Mennonite Church. Church phone 503-362-6143 or Miriam 503-362-6143. Drop site for Salem area churches, including Grace, Western, Apostolic and SMC
- Louise Gingrich: The evening of Tuesday, 9/14 at 6:30pm at Zion Mennonite Church, church phone 503-651-2274 or Esther King, 503-435-4808.
- Connie Rodriquez: Albany Mennonite Church will collect quilts from Sweet Home, Lebanon, Fairview, Albany or Corvallis on Friday, 9/17 from 9:30am-11:30am. Contact phone for Connie 541-967-7754 to arrange delivery for the area churches named above.
- Alice Hill: Portland area – call to arrange a date and time with Alice at 503-771-2421, to drop off items by Monday, 9/13/09 or call Portland Mennonite Church 503-234-0559.
- Any quilts or comforters that are not received before Friday, 10/1, will be sold in the last batch of quilt offerings for auction UNLESS THE MEASUREMENTS, PATTERN NAME, COLORS AND DONOR INFORMATION IS SENT BY 9/27/09 to eshleman@broadstripe.net or call Dianna at 541-764-2551
