Enjoy the Food!

Foods to enjoy throughout the day include a pancake and sausage breakfast, Latin cuisine, sandwiches, salads, spring rolls, apple dumplings, home baked breads, pastries, cookies, pies, ice cream, caramel apples, popcorn, and hot and cold beverages.

Pancake and Sausage Breakfast

The festival begins at 7:30 am with a pancake breakfast featuring homemade blackberry syrup.  Come hungry for this breakfast!

Baked Goods

Pies, homemade breads, cookies, cinnamon rolls; they're all available and ready to take home from this booth.  Pies may also be purchased by the slice and topped with ice cream from the ice cream booth.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls

Hundreds of spring rolls are prepared and sold each year at the sale.  Ingredients include bean thread, ground pork, onion, carrot, jicama, sugar, MSG, fish sauce, salt and pepper.

Apples

Apples and apple cider are big feature items. Apples are sold by the bag, as cider, in apple dumplings and apple pie, and as caramel apples.  And do taste our apple dumplings!

Food Worker's Certification

Attention, beloved volunteers who help serve food at the festival:  State regulations require that at least one person at every festival food booth have a valid Oregon Food Handler Card.  Getting a card is a matter of taking a simple test (you’ll need to read over the material in advance) and paying a $10 fee.  You may even take the test online or by mail.

Everything you need to know about the test (including a downloadable training manual) can be found at: http://oregon.gov/DHS/ph/foodsafety/cert.shtml
